8-26-2015 Less than a month away from our next adventure!

About a year ago Charlie Miller developed the itinerary for this 5th in a series of Morgan Pub Crawls where a volunteer group of 12 to 20 Morgan sports cars travel great distances to explore our great country.  This time we call it The Big Muddy since we will venture across Wisconsin to the upper end of the Mississippi River and then wheedle our way south to St Louis and the great Arch.

Our official start will be from Auburn, Indiana though most of us will have traveled from 3 hours to 3 days to get there.  My goal is to post daily travel experiences as I have on the past MPC's and to let all who care about us to know we are doing OK and our cars are holding together.  Some of the cars are 55 years old or older you know and a majority of the drivers and passengers are equally so.  The map above is general and does not show the precise route we will be traveling, most of which will be on 2-lane country roads with an avoidance of interstate highways.

Meanwhile, in this last month, each participant is busy going over the cars to make sure they are mechanically sound and sufficient spare parts and tools are inventoried and packed in the nether regions of the car.

We'll be back here on the blog September 22 to introduce you to the travelers and describe our trip.

See you then....
